Harvesting gets underway

It's a long time to Harvest Supper but tasty organic produce is now being gathered in at Orchid Meadows. Here shallots are being dried and made ready to be added to coq au vin and other dishes for the culinary delight of ourselves and our glampers. Guests at Orchids Meadows receive free seasonal vegetables fresh from the ground. Currently we are offering lettuce, herbs, kohl rabi, courgettes, potatoes, edible flowers and Swiss chard. And of course fresh free-range eggs are patiently provided by Sara, Sara, Sara and Sara, our Calder Ranger hens, overseen by Monty the cockerel.
